The town is a wonderful location for those seeking a traditional seaside break. A wide selection of independent shops, as well as an award winning museum, and a small theatre can be found. For the more adventurous the South West Coast Path heads west through the amazing Undercliff between Lyme Regis and Axmouth, or east towards Charmouth and the magnificent National Trust land at Golden Cap. If you are planning a holiday without a car, the mainline railway station in nearby Axminster is served by a regular bus service (or taxis), to and from the town.
